A large kimberlite body has been located for the first time in the Raichur District of Karnataka near Undraldoddi village. This is significant in view of ancient records of diamond recovery from Raichur, but primary source could not be identified so far in the area. The pipe is being investigated for the possible presence of diamonds.- Kimberlite Occurrence in Raichur Area, Karnataka

In the present work effort has been made to develop the thick film paste for gas sensor. In the first step glass powder has been prepared and then SnO2 powder was synthesized. In the next step Pd-doping has been done and finally thick film SnO2 sensor was fabricated on a 1˝x1˝ alumina substrate. It consists of a gas sensitive layer (SnO2) doped with Pd, a pair of electrodes in array form underneath the gas sensing layers serving as a contact pad for sensor and a common heater element on the backside of the substrate. Alumina substrate (96%) has been used as a substrate for sensor fabrication. The fabricated sensor was tested for varying concentration of ethanol in a locally developed test chamber. The response of the sensor for varying concentration of ethanol tested the sensitivity of the sensor for ethanol.- Kothe-Toeplitz and Topological Duals of Spaces of Strongly Summable Vector Sequences
